Established in 1997
The Unit of Social and Community Psychiatry is committed to expanding understanding within the domain of Mental Health. We employ a variety of methodologies and conceptual frameworks to try to understand how people with mental health problems interact with mental health services, relate to clinicians and benefit from care. The team of researchers, administrators and clinicians is involved in numerous projects, many in collaboration with other European countries. The Unit is attached to Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry (Queen Mary University) and supported by East London and the City Mental Health Trust. Visit our Unit’s website
